15 AUGUST 2025

Nearly 70 of our members attended a fascinating Ludlow town tour on a very hot and sunny day in August. Our very knowledgeable guides treated us to endless amazing facts about this beautiful market town. Our tour began with the castle and progressed through the passages of the town and ended in St Lawrences church and the Feathers Hotel.
I had no idea how significant Ludlow’s history was, with its connections to Catherine of Aragorn, its lead role in the administration of Wales for nearly 200 years and so much more. Despite the heat, this was a very enjoyable event and it was clear that although we learned so much about Ludlow, there was still lots more to find out about. The tour is available to the public and I highly recommend it.
