SFWI 2024 faith visit Coventry

On September 26, fifty of our members enjoyed a memorable day visiting two significant landmarks: the Gurdwara Guru Nanak Parkash and Coventry Cathedral.

Gurdwara Guru Nanak Parkash

Our day began at the Gurdwara Guru Nanak Parkash, where we were warmly welcomed by the Sikh community. We were captivated by the beautiful architecture and the peaceful ambiance. The highlight was participating in the Langar, a communal meal that exemplifies the Sikh values of equality and selfless service. It was a heartwarming experience that emphasized community spirit.

Coventry Cathedral

In the afternoon, we visited Coventry Cathedral, renowned for its stunning architecture and rich history. The contrast between the ruins of the old cathedral and the modern design of the new building was striking. We learned about the cathedral's commitment to peace and reconciliation, and many of us found the visit to be both reflective and inspiring.

Overall, the day was a wonderful blend of cultural exploration and spiritual reflection. Our members left with a deeper appreciation for the diversity and history within our community
